Our Philosophy

A Child's preschool years lay a foundation for later development. At Holy Cross Child Development Center a curriculum is offered that is developmentally appropriate and cognitively oriented. The child learns through active participation in an exciting hands-on environment. Our goal is to help the children develop self esteem and self confidence. We promote Christian values and love and an acceptance for individual differences whether they are physical, cultural or religious. We view Jesus as friend and teacher and a role model for God's children.

Staff

The Program Director and Head Teacher, Dianne Chadwick, graduated from Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri earning and Associates of Arts degree in Childhood Development. She continued her education at Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in primary education. Before starting her family, she was a first grade teacher. Raising five children kept her busy but she continued to enjoy the pleasures of gardening, cooking, travel and crafts. Dianne is a member of Front Street Presbyterian Church. She is beginning her sixth year at Holy Cross Child Development Center. Her greatest enjoyment is being a parent, grandparent and teacher.

Dita Donner, an Assistant Teacher, is a lifelong resident of Fairfield. She has been an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 30 year, serving on church council, teaching Sunday school and working with the youth group. Dita graduated form the Cincinnati School of Court Reporting and has worked as a court reporter for ACE and Warren County Juvenile Court. For eight years she had her own freelance reporting company. She is a mother of three children. Dita has been with the Holy Cross Child Development Center for four years.

HAT DAY

Holy Cross Lutheran Church ELCA

Holy Cross Lutheran Church takes pride in offering the Child Development Center to the Fairfield Community as a ministry of the church. Our outreach supports it spiritually and financially and is an excellent source for providing the community with a Christian non-denominational preschool education. An invitation is extended to all that would like to worship and participate in any of our activities. Sunday worship service begings at 10:00 AM followed by a coffee fellowship.
